Due to its great location, you can come to Serbia’s capital in many different ways: by train, by bus, by bike, by car and of course by plane. But, since the airport is a bit far, upon arrival you might get confused about getting from Belgrade Airport to the city center.
Before we start explaining how you can get around, let’s take a look at the map.
As you can see, the airport is about 18 km to the west from the city center. So, you will have to use some mean of transportation in order to get where you are heading. These are the best options.
Get From Belgrade Airport to the City Center by Bus
Fortunately, there are a few bus lines that operate from the airport. Here is the list:
- A1 – This is a special line that goes straight from the airport to the Slavia Square.
- 72 is a regular public transportation bus line. It goes from the airport and the last stop is Zeleni Venac.
- A bus no. 607 goes from the Surcin (where the airport is located) to Novi Beograd. From there you can catch a bus no. 16 to get downtown.
Rent – A – Car
If you plan to spend more money, you can rent a car at the Airport. There are several agencies that offer their services right on the spot, so you can choose the one that suits your budget.
Another way to get to the city center is to get a taxi. The price is about euro (1800 rsd). However, if you need to get to some other part of town, the price will vary from 1400 to 6000 rsd (12 to 50 euro).
As you can see, there are several different ways to get from Belgrade Airport to the city center. So, if you come to Belgrade by plane, downtown is the best location for you.
